John Huston(1906-1987) was born in Nevada, Missouri. The son of actor Walter Huston and father of actress Anjelica, John Huston directed classic films of the 20th century, including The Maltese Falcon (1941), Key Largo (1948), The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948), The Asphalt Jungle (1950) and The African Queen (1951). He lived large. In addition to directing films, Mr. Huston was a writer, painter, amateur boxer, big-game hunter and actor. He was married five times.
