Errol Flynn (1909-1959) began his life in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. His mother, Marrelle Young, was descended from a midshipman of the HMS Bounty. Ironically, Mr. Flynn played Fletcher Christian in the 1933 film, In the Wake of the Bounty.

Mr. Flynn's swashbuckling reputation took hold in 1935, when he starred in the title role of Captain Blood. His real-life passion for drink, sex and violence took a toll on his career and his health. Mr. Flynn died at the age of 50 of a heart attack.
