Ashland Oregon: Art Gallery for Idiots
The Associated press is reporting that a gallery owned by a town councilor and his partner held a fund raiser by having people throw shoes at a picture of President George W. Bush. Red paint was spread on the soles of the Birkenstocks, boots and sneakers prior to the toss. According to the councilor's partner, the event was a "statement of solidarity" with the Iraqi reporter who threw his shoes at the President during a press conference in Baghdad recently. It is thanks to President Bush, our Armed Forces and the Constitution which they have sworn to protect and defend, that the Iraqi reporter and these "art" patrons are enjoying the freedom to express their ingratitude in this shameless manner. |
